Become a Board Member
We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors and help guide our mission to support and empower the Rohingya community in Buffalo. Board members play a critical role in providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of our organization.
We are especially looking for individuals with experience in the following areas:
Legal Expertise
Experience in law or legal services to support the organization with contracts, compliance, governance, and risk management.
Finance / Accounting
Background in finance or accounting to assist with budgeting, financial oversight, audits, and grant financial management.
Fundraising / Development
Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or grant writing to help secure resources and build sustainable funding streams.
Social Work / Refugee Services
Professional experience working with refugee or immigrant communities, providing valuable insight into culturally responsive and effective programming.
Nonprofit Development
Knowledge of nonprofit growth, strategic planning, or organizational development to help strengthen and expand our impact.
Administrative & Organizational Skills
Individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and able to support with planning, documentation, and board operations.
